This is my first blog and had to get a couple of my friends to ask me questions since I have no publicity, yet!
First of all I’d like to mention that I won’t write boring answers. This is my first time so I’m writing a little bit before I start answering questions. I’m gonna answer 10 questions today and would love feedback, more questions, and for this blog to be popular.
- Question: Who are you expecting the Cleveland to pick? Irving? D.Williams?
Answer: With the first pick in the draft I’d expect them to take Irving even though they need Williams a bit more since they already have a point guard. Just remember, they have No. 4 pick too - Question: Who is the best point guard in the NBA right now?
Answer: Point guard. Most people would say Derrick Rose, but I think he isn’t much of a point guard since Chicago’s scoring comes mostly from him. Chris Paul is a better point guard than him, in my opinion, but Derrick Rose is the best to play the position right now. So what’s the answer?
Best point guard: Chris Paul.
Best player to play point guard: Derrick Rose.
Derrick Rose will turn into a true point guard while scoring 20+ points a game after Chicago gets a little help at the shooting guard position. - Question: Who are the best players at their positions right now?
Answer: I’m not sure if I am answering your question right, but here’s my answer for last season:
PG: Derrick Rose (Chi, 1 MVP)
SG: Kobe Bryant (L.A; 5 Rings, 1 MVP, 2 Finals MVP)
SF: LeBron James (Mia, 2 MVPs)
PF: Dirk Nowitzki (Dal, 1 Ring, 1 Finals MVP)
C: Dwight Howard (Orl, 3 Defensive Player of the Year)
You can’t really argue that these players don’t deserve the spot. All of them are amazing athletes and all have either a Finals MVP, MVP, or Defensive Player of the Year award. Of the bunch, Kobe has had the most success, but do remember he has been in the league 14 years. Of these players, I can see Rose winning a ring(s) and more MVPs, Kobe, maybe one more ring and calls it a career, LeBron, a championship, Dirk’s career doesn’t really have any awards or rings in the future, and last, Howard winning a ring and maybe even a MVP. - Question: Are the HEAT overrated?
Answer: No, they are overhated. HEAT are a good team and reaching the finals in the first year was a surprise to me. When they joined, I predicted that they’d win a championship in the 2011-2012 season. Losing in the Finals was another surprise to me. I thought they would easily get past Dallas but they didn’t. Let me just say this was an AMAZING season and I feel like all they need is either a PG or C, not even both. - Question: LeBron or Kobe?
Answer: Well, Kobe is a better closer and more clutch, but LeBron is a better overall player. - Question: 2012 Champ?
Answer: Depends. We’ll see after trade deadline. - Question: S.A. Spurs future?
Answer: They’re getting older and older. Getting beat by Mem really made them lose confidence. Over the next few years, all I see is them making the playoffs with a low seed until they can get some young. - Question: Where’s Dwight going?
Answer: Chicago is offering the best package, but Orlando doesn’t wanna send him in the East. Lakers? They aren’t giving up that much. Just remember, Howard has to agree to sign an extension with the team who he’s going to, so that limits options. I think either he stays, Chicago or Hollywood. He can’t really go anywhere else because of him signing the extension. - Question: Do you see Houston making the playoffs next year?
Answer: Probally and Hopefully. Let’s see what they can do this offseason. - Question: Dallas Repeating as Champs?
